Michael Dawson Injury Update…
Tottenham have confirmed on tottenhamhotspur.com that defender Michael Dawson will be sidelined for up to 12 weeks through injury, all but ending his season.
Tottenham have confirmed on tottenhamhotspur.com that defender Michael Dawson will be sidelined for up to 12 weeks.
The defender was forced off during the early stages of their 3-1 FA Cup tie with Stevenage on Wednesday night with what looked like a nasty ankle injury.
Dawson was immediately taken to hospital for scans with fears that he had seriously damaged ligaments. Those fears have been realised as Spurs have now confirmed the player has ruptured ligaments in his right ankle and will be out for between 10-12 weeks.
Dawson has only been back in action for a matter of weeks after returning from a serious knee injury that ruled him out for the first half of the season, but now his season is all but over after this latest setback.
The news comes as a bitter blow to Harry Redknapp, who will now have to make do with Younes Kaboul and Ryan Nelsen at centre back, with both Ledley King and William Gallas also carrying knocks.
