Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond, who is also attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City
Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, several Premier League clubs are linked with Nathan Redmond.
Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond, who is also attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, according to the Telegraph.
The England under-19 international looks set to leave St Andrews after talks over a new contract broke down and Liverpool are now heading the queue to land the highly-rated attacker.
Brendan Rodgers is believed to have added the 18-year-old to his list of targets after being alerted to the players contract situation.
Redmond has little over 18 months to run on his current contract and was expected to be offered a new deal in September but so far Birmingham have failed to put fresh terms on the table.
This has left the youngster frustrated and he could leave the club as early as January, with Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool all sending scouts to watch the teenager.
However, Liverpool are said to hold the most significant interest and have been tracking Redmond for over 12 months, with Rodgers weighing up the merits of a January move.
