Tottenham Hotspur take on Wigan Athletic this weekend looking to build upon last Sunday’s impressive win over Manchester City.
Ahead of the game, boss Andre Villas-Boas has given TottenhamHotspur.com a team news and injury update with the latest on Aaron Lennon, William Gallas, Younes Kaboul and Sandro.
Lennon has missed Spurs last three games after picking up an injury against Basel in the Europa League on April 4th, but AVB has confirmed the winger has trained all week and is back in contention to take on the Latics on Saturday:
“Aaron has trained with the team and is back in contention,” said Andre. “It’s good to have him back. He’s a player who has had a great impact this season.” Villas-Boas told TottenhamHotspur.com
The Spurs boss also confirmed to the club’s official website that defenders Gallas and Kaboul remain on the sidelines along with long-term injury victim midfielder Sandro.
The north Londoners picked up no fresh injury concerns against City last weekend with Gareth Bale feeling no ill-effects on his troublesome ankle injury, and is therefore fit to play at the DW Stadium this weekend.
