Transfer News: Man Utd Reject Bid For Unsettled Attacker – Spurs Eye £10m Midfielder
Latest transfer rumours. Today, Manchester United have rejected a £6m bid for winger Nani and Tottenham Hotspur are linked with a move for Radja Nainggolan.
With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Manchester United have rejected a £6m bid for Nani and Tottenham are linked with a move for Radja Nainggolan.
Reds reject Nani bid
First up and the Mirror carry quotes from Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal that claim Manchester United have rejected a £6m bid from the Turkish outfit for unsettled winger Nani.
The Portuguese ace fell out-of-favour under Sir Alex Ferguson last season, making just seven starts, and is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer as he has just one year remaining on his current contract.
However, it seems he won’t be heading to Galatasaray after Aysal revealed that United has rejected their £6m bid and they won’t be meeting the Premier League champions £8.5m asking price for the 26-year-old.
“We offered seven million euros (£6million) for him, but they didn’t accept. We can’t give more than this.
“We are not going to follow Nani anymore. We can’t give more than seven million euros for him.
“They want 10 million euros (£8.5million). Because of this he is not on our transfer list anymore.” Aysal is quoted as saying by the Mirror
Spurs eye Nainggolan
Next up and the Daily Mail claim Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Cagliari £10m-rated midfielder Radja Nainggolan this summer.
The Belgian international joined the Serie A outfit from Piacenza in 2010 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances – scoring 5 goals in the process. Nainggolan enjoyed an impressive year last season and has earned 5 caps for his country and the newspaper suggest Spurs are keeping tabs on him ahead of a potential summer move.
However, the north Londoners will face stiff competition for his signature with the report claiming Southampton, Napoli, Inter Milan and Roma are all also tracking the 25-year-old ace.
