Big Guns Fight Over Brazilian Starlet Who Wants Premier League Move
Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool are among the clubs tracking Brazilian starlet Victor Andrade with the ace keen to seal a move to the Premier League.
With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, a host of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Brazilian starlet Victor Andrade.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool are among the clubs tracking highly-rated Brazilian starlet Victor Andrade with the teenager keen to seal a move to the Premier League, according to the Express.
The 17-year-old burst on to the scene last year when he made his debut for Santos aged just 16 and has gone on to make 23 appearances – scoring 3 goals – to become one of Brazil’s most promising youngsters, earning the title the ‘new Neymar’.
The Express claim Andrade is yet to commit his future to Santos and is currently out of contract, and his agents, NVA Entertainment Group, have confirmed he’s attracting interest from some of the Premier League’s big guns.
“We can confirm that there is interest in England in Victor, and not unsurprisingly from some of the bigger clubs.
“Victor is a wonderful talent, but we and his family are calm and we are confident his future will be resolved at the right time, in the right way.” An NVA Entertainment Group spokesman is quoted as saying in the Express.
Santos are desperate to hang on to the youngster, particularly after losing Neymar to Barcelona this summer, but they are sweating over his future with the attacking midfielder yet to sign a long-term contract with the club.
The newspaper report suggests that the interested parties include Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool and the quartet have been boosted with the news that Andrade does not require a work permit as he already holds an EU passport due to his Portuguese parentage.
Andrade has also revealed that he feels it’s time for a change and i’s keen on a move to England with his godfather – former Man City striker Robinho – advising him to go to Europe to become a better player.
“Quite simply, I would love to play in Europe.
“My godfather Robinho has told me of the great experiences he had at Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan. He told me how it made him a better player because playing in Europe means you must adapt to different styles and systems.
“I think it will be a great education for me. Everybody around the world knows about the strength of the Premier League.”
“It is a very exciting prospect for me. My dream is to play for Brazil in the World Cup and I believe that moving to Europe will help me because it will help my all-round game.
“I have no problem with Santos. They have helped me a lot. But I think the time is right for me to experience a change.” Andrade is quoted as saying in the Express
So it appears the fight is on for another Brazilian wonderkid but this one won’t come with a hefty price-tag and there isn’t the worry about having to secure a work permit. Will he end up coming to the Premier League? Let’s hope so, you can never have too many Brazilians….
