On-loan Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard marked his debut for Birmingham City with a stunning four-goal haul to earn the Midlands club a 4-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
After tapping home the opener from close range in the 20th minute, Lingard beat the offside trap to cooly slot home for 2-0 just minutes later. The young forward then completed a 13 minute hat-trick with a fine strike from the edge of the area before he swept home a fourth just after half time.
Wednesday grabbed a consolation midway through the second half but it was to be Lingard’s day as Birmingham ran out 4-1 winners. Watch all of the goals here:
