Manchester United entertain Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on New Years Day with both sides hoping to close in on the top four.
United continued their recent good form with a 1-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday while Spurs eased past Stoke City 3-0 the following day to leave the duo just three points off fourth-placed Everton.
David Moyes is expected to welcome back Wayne Rooney after the striker missed the win over Norwich with a minor knock. Robin van Persie is also close to a comeback and may be on the bench on Wednesday.
Antonio Valencia is available having served a one-match ban but Rafael, Phil Jones and Nani are all still out injured.
Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood could stick with the majority of the side that beat Stoke. The former midfielder has played an attacking 4-4-2 formation in all his games in charge so far and may do so again at Old Trafford, although he may ask Emmanuel Adebayor to drop back and help out the midfield when not in possession.
Kyle Walker is available again having served a one-match ban but Jermain Defoe, Andros Townsend, Younes Kaboul and Jan Vertonghen are sidelined through injury.
