Mourinho Makes 4 Changes: Predicted Chelsea Starting XI To Face Liverpool

Premier League champions Chelsea will look to see-out the rest of the season in style when they face Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think Jose Mourinho will select:

Goalkeeper: Mourinho has dismissed talk that he’ll make wholesale changes after securing the title last week but the Blues boss is expected to mix things up a little, starting in goal. No.1 Thibaut Courtois is likely to be given a breather with Petr Cech coming in.

Defence: Filipe Luis could also be given a rare start at left-back with Cesar Azpilicueta making way. The rest of the back-four should remain unchanged with John Terry, Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic all keeping their places. If Mourinho did want to make another change at the back, then Kurt Zouma is on stand-by to come in.

Midfield: John Obi Mikel is expected to come in to the midfield to make a rare start in what’s been a frustrating season for the Nigerian. He’s likely to play alongside Nemanja Matic with Cesc Fabregas playing a little further forward.

Attack: Diego Costa won’t be risked as he continues to overcome a niggling hamstring injury so Loic Remy should start up front with Didier Drogba given a rest.

Juan Cuadrado failed to impress against Palace last weekend so he may drop out with Willian and Eden Hazard supporting Remy in attack.
Oscar has been ruled out while Ramires is also unlikely to feature due to a knock.

Here is how I think we’ll see Chelsea line-up:
