Klopp To Make 3 Changes: Predicted Liverpool Starting Line-Up vs Man Utd
Liverpool entertain Man Utd at Anfield in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie on Thursday night. Here is the side I think Jurgen Klopp will pick.
Liverpool entertain north-west rivals Manchester United at Anfield in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie on Thursday night. Here is the side I think Jurgen Klopp will pick.
Goalkeeper: Number one goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is once again expected to keep his place in goal.
Defence: Klopp has got plenty of options to choose form at the back now and he’ll have some decisions to make. Jon Flanagan seems to be playing his way in to the German coaches plans but I suspect Klopp will stick with his usual first team pairing of Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno in the full-back spots tomorrow.
Martin Skrtel has been back in full training recently after recovering from a hamstring injury but he wasn’t even on the bench at Crystal Palace on Sunday so I can’t see him starting against United. Therefore, I expect Dejan Lovren to continue alongside Mamadou Sakho at the back.

Midfield: Lucas Leiva has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a thigh injury that he suffered while taking a spot kick during the League Cup shoot-out loss to Man City last weekend. Joe Allen is available but I expect Klopp to once again stick with Jordan Henderson and Emre Can in the middle of the park.
Attack: James Milner is a major doubt for the game after being sent home from training with a virus so I expect Adam Lallana to keep his place in attack along with Philippe Coutinho.
The big decision for Klopp is who to start up front. Divock Origi has done a decent job through the middle but I think we’ll see Daniel Sturridge come back in tomorrow with Roberto Firmino keeping his place in attack.
Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:
