[Video Goals] Tottenham 3-0 Bournemouth: Kane Bags Double As Spurs Cut The Gap
Tottenham closed the gap on Premier League leaders Leicester City after easing to a 3-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth at White Hart Lane this afternoon.
Harry Kane scored twice as Tottenham Hotspur closed the gap on Premier League leaders Leicester City after easing to a 3-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts knew they needed a win to keep their title hopes alive and got off to the perfect start as Kane opened the scoring after just 1 minute as he swept home Kyle Walkers cross for 1-0.
The England striker then beat the offside trap as he raced on to a Dele Alli through-ball to slot home Tottenham’s second in the sixteenth minute.
If the result was in any doubt, Spurs sealed the three points as Christian Eriksen was on hand to tap home after Kane’s long-range effort was only parried to make it 3-0 shortly after half-time.
The result means Tottenham have closed the gap on Leicester to five points with seven games left to play.
