[Video Goals] Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham: Coutinho Strike Not Enough As Reds Held

Liverpool dented Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League title chances after the two teams played out a hugely entertaining 1-1 draw at Anfield this evening.

The first half finished goalless with both sides missing decent chances to break the deadlock as an entertaining opening forty-five minutes ended at 0-0.

However, the Merseysiders finally opened the scoring shortly after half-time as Philippe Coutinho played a neat one-two with Daniel Sturridge before firing past Hugo Lloris and into the bottom corner for 1-0 in the 51st minute.

It didn’t take Tottenham long to level things up as Christian Eriksen did well to keep the ball alive before cutting it back for Harry Kane who made no mistake with a clinical finish for 1-1 in the 63rd minute.

Both sides pushed for a winner with Coutinho and Kane going close to stealing all three points but it finished 1-1 which leaves Spurs trailing Leicester City by four points with the league leaders holding a game in hand.
