Some of the Liverpool players have been celebrating on Twitter after thrashing Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The Reds opened the scoring through Divock Origi in the 43rd minute before Mamadou Sakho soon made it 2-0 with a close range header to put Liverpool in control at half-time.
Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to score the third after replacing the injured Origi – who suffered an ankle injury following a tackle from Funes Mori which saw the Everton defender dismissed – before Philippe Coutinho wrapped-up an impressive victory.
The win saw Liverpool move up to seventh position in the Premier League and to within six points of the top four, while it was also the perfect preparation for next weeks Europa League semi-final with Villarreal.
After the game, Mamadou Sakho took to Twitter to share photos of him and his team mates celebrating in the changing room while Origi, Simon Mignolet, Daniel Sturridge and Nathaniel Clyne also posted messages to their followers on the micro-blogging social network.
