Burnley vs Liverpool Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Liverpool take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Satruday. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, betting tips and predicted score for the game
Liverpool will be hoping to build on their excellent Premier League opening win over Arsenal when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds came from a goal down and blew the north Londoners away with four quick-fire goals during a 20 minute spell but were forced to hold on as Arsenal pulled it back to 4-3 during a thriller at the Emirates.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to tighten things up at the back as the Merseysiders go searching for consecutive victories in a game that was originally due to be played at Anfield but was switched to Turf Moor while Liverpool continue the redevelopment of their stadium.
Burnley opened up their season with a disappointing defeat to Swansea so Sean Dyche will be desperate to pick up a positive result tomorrow after guiding the club back to the top flight last season.
Team news
Liverpool are expected to be without summer signing Sadio Mane after he picked up a minor shoulder injury in training this week.
Roberto Firmino could therefore move to the wing with fit-again Daniel Sturridge starting up front – although Divock Origi is also pushing for a start.
James Milner is back in contention after recovering from a heel injury that kept him out of the Arsenal game and he could replace Alberto Moreno at left-back.
Joel Matip and Lucas Leiva stepped-up their recoveries this week but are unlikely to be involved tomorrow. Emre Can could get a recall in midfield after making a substitute appearance last time out.
Burnley are set to hand a debut to Steven Defour after completing his move this week but on-loan defender Jon Flanagan cannot feature against his parent club.

Predicted Score
Burnely 1-2 Liverpool: The Reds looked impressive during that 20 minute spell against Arsenal and if they can reproduce that kind of form tomorrow, they’ll batter Burnley. Mane will be a miss but Klopp has plenty of options to call upon and I think Liverpool will take home the three points with a 2-1 win.
