Tottenham vs Sunderland Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Tottenham take on Sunderland at White Hart Lane on Sunday. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, betting tips and predicted score for the game
Tottenham will look to get over their disappointing Champions League defeat to Monaco when they entertain Sunderland at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs kicked off their European adventure with a 2-1 defeat to the Ligue 1 outfit at Wembley in midweek and Mauricio Pochettino has already called for his players to show more passion so he’ll be looking for a response tomorrow.
The north Londoners are yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season having registered two wins and two draws from their opening four games while they eased to an impressive 4-0 victory at Stoke last weekend.
They will be confident of moving in to the top three with a win on Sunday as Sunderland arrive in the capital in poor form having taken just one point from their opening four fixtures so far.
Team news
Spurs welcome back Mousa Dembele after the midfielder completed his six-game suspension which was carried over from last season but the Belgian international may have to make do with a place on the bench as he looks to regain full match fitness.
Danny Rose remains out with a hamstring injury so Ben Davies will continue at left-back while Victor Wanyama could get a recall in midfield after dropping to the bench against Monaco.
Pochettino has hinted he’ll make some changes following the midweek disappointment and Moussa Sissoko and Vincent Janssen are among those who are pushing for starts.
Sunderland could welcome back Lee Cattermole and Steven Pienaar as both have returned to full training while Billy Jones could also be pushing for a recall.
However, Victor Anichebe, Vito Mannone, Seb Larsson and Fabio Borini remain out.

Predicted Score
Tottenham 2-0 Sunderland: Spurs were very poor in midweek but I think the occasion at Wembley got to them and expect a much improved display at White Hart Lane tomorrow. Sunderland are in dire form so I can’t see past a home win here.
