Tottenham Hotspur will look to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League when they take on Monaco at the Stade Louis II on Tuesday night.
Here is the side we think Mauricio Pochettino will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Number one goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will continue between the sticks tomorrow night.
Defence: Pochettino switched to 4 at the back for Saturday’s win over West Ham and he’s expected to stick with that formation on Tuesday night meaning Kevin Wimmer will remain on the bench.
Toby Alderweireld has once again been ruled out as he continues to recover from a niggling knee injury so Eric Dier will continue alongside Jan Vertonghen while Danny Rose will start at left-back with Ben Davies ruled out.
The only change we might see is Keiran Trippier coming in to freshen things up at right-back as Pochettino has previously swapped at least one of his full-backs in the cup games.
Midfield: Mousa Dembele will be handed a late fitness test to see if he’s able to start again after only recently recovering from injury but I think we’ll see the Belgian play alongside Victor Wanyama as he’s vital for Spurs and this is a huge game for the north Londoners.
We could see Spurs move to a central two which may mean Harry Winks dropping to the bench, despite his superb display against the Hammers at the weekend.
Attack: Dele Alli could come back in to the side after making his injury return off the bench at the weekend while Harry Kane is expected to be risked from the start once again. Pochettino has voiced his concern at pushing his star striker too hard after a lengthy injury lay off but Tottenham need to win this game so I can’t see him leaving his top scorer out.
Erik Lamela remains out so Heung-min Son could come in to the attack with Christian Eriksen expected to keep his place despite his inconsistent form of late.
Here is how I think we’ll see Spurs line-up:
