Chelsea Team News: Conte Offers Positive Injury Update Ahead Of Man Utd Tie
Antonio Conte has offered a positive team news update ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup quarter final clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will look to book their place at Wembley when they take on Manchester United in the quarter finals of the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening.
Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters a team news and injury update.
The Blues boss was pleased to confirm that he is in the unenviable position of having no fresh injuries to worry about so he has a fully-fit squad to choose from on Monday night.
Eden Hazard recovered from a minor knock to start during last week’s Premier League win at West Ham so the Belgian international is expected to retain his place against United.
So far, Conte has used the FA Cup as an opportunity to give some of his fringe players a run out with the likes of John Terry starting in previous rounds of the competition.
However, Conte gave little away about his team selection this afternoon after simply telling reporters that he still needs to settle on his starting eleven for Monday’s game.

The Telegraph reported earlier this week that Conte was ready to change tact and field his strongest side with the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Gary Cahill, N’Golo Kante and Marcos Alonso all expected to be recalled against United having been rested at Wolves in the fifth round.
However, David Luiz may be given a breather as he continues to nurse a niggling knee problem which could open the door for Terry to play what could be his last FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge.
