La Liga Star Has ‘Agreement’ With Mourinho After Man Utd Hold Transfer Talks
Gareth Bale has an agreement in place with Jose Mourinho that he will join Manchester United if he leaves Real Madrid this summer
Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has been linked with Man Utd….
Gareth Bale has an agreement in place with Jose Mourinho that he will join Manchester United if he leaves Real Madrid this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.
Bale made his name during a six-year spell at Tottenham where he developed in to one of the best attackers in the Premier League before securing a then world-record £86m move to Madrid in 2013.
The Welsh international has continued to forge his reputation as one of the top forwards in world football having scored 67 goals and provided 51 assists in 149 games to help the La Liga giants win two Champions League trophies.
However, Bale has struggled this season with injuries restricting him to making just 17 La Liga starts so far and the Mirror are citing a report from Spain that claims Madrid president Florentino Perez is becoming increasingly concerned.
The newspaper says that Madrid are open to the idea of cashing-in on the 27-year-old if a suitable offer is put on the table this summer with Man Utd believed to have already held talks over a potential deal.
The report – which originates from Diario Gol – claims that Bale has now reached an ‘unwritten agreement’ with Mourinho that he will move to Old Trafford if he leaves Madrid and United secure Champions League football next season.
The Red Devils are unlikely to qualify through the Premier League after losing to Arsenal on Sunday but they have a great chance of winning the Europa League which would book a place in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League.
Mourinho is gearing up for a bust summer and he needs to strengthen his attacking options as a lack of goals in the final third has undermined any hopes of challenging for the title.
Bale would obviously be a sensational signing if United could somehow pull it off and they are one of the few clubs in the world who could afford his transfer fee if Madrid are open to selling this summer.

However, I’m not sure how much truth there is behind this latest report from Spain as Bale only signed a new long-term contract last October and has always maintained he’s happy in Madrid, so I’d personally be surprised to see him leave any time soon.
