Mauricio Pochettino is keen on signing Angel Di Maria after being offered the player and team-mate Lucas Moura by Paris Saint-Germain, according to French Football News.
The French giants are looking to offload some of their squad players after splashing out around £200m on Neymar from Barcelona while Kylian Mbappe is also expected to arrive from Monaco.
The 18-year-old is reportedly set to sign on an initial season-long loan deal before securing a £160m move in order to get around UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations but PSG still need to balance the books.
It looks like Spurs could be the beneficiaries as French Football News are reporting that PSG have offered Tottenham the chance to sign Lucas Moura and Angel Di Maria before the transfer window shuts.
The French outlet says Pochettino isn’t interested in signing Moura as he doesn’t believe the Brazilian winger has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.
However, the report says the Spurs boss is keen to lure Di Maria to north London but the clubs hierarchy are reluctant to sanction a deal as they believe the Argentinean international is too expensive.
Di Maria spent a frustrating season in England with Manchester United in 2014-15 but he’s rediscovered his form in France having helped PSG win the Ligue 1 title and several domestic cups.
