Tottenham Team News: Pochettino Without 5 Key Men For Dortmund Clash
Tottenham will be without five first team players for their Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Dortmund tomorrow night.
Tottenham Hotspur will kick-off their Champions League group stage campaign when they entertain Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters a team news and injury update.
Unfortunately, the Spurs boss will be without influential attacker Dele Alli as he starts a three-match suspension after being sent off against Gent in the Europa League back in February.
Tottenham will continue to be without Erik Lamela as the attacker is still working his way back to full fitness from a hip injury that’s kept him out for the past eleven months.
Danny Rose is also still unavailable due to a knee ligament injury that he sustained back in January while youngster Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is also still out with a foot problem.
Pochettino will be without a total of five first team squad players as Victor Wanyama will also miss the visit of Dortmund as the midfielder is still recovering from a knee injury that’s kept him out of the past two games.

The Spurs boss may be tempted to make some changes to his starting eleven in order to keep his players fresh with the likes of Serge Aurier, Mousa Dembele, Heung-min Son and Fernando Llorente pushing for starts.
Tottenham qualified for the Champions League after finishing second in the Premier League last season but they need to get off to a positive start as they’ve been drawn in a tough group along with Dortmund, Real Madrid and Apoel Nicosia.
