Leicester vs Liverpool Preview, Team News, Line-ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Liverpool take on Leicester at the King Power on Saturday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score
Liverpool will look to bounce back from their League Cup disappointment when they return to the King Power to face Leicester City on Saturday evening.
This will be the Reds’ second trip to Leicester in a matter of days as they were knocked out the Carabao Cup at the third round stage thanks to a 2-0 defeat on Tuesday night.
Revenge will therefore be in order for Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp’s main focus will be getting back to winning ways as the Merseysiders haven’t won any of their last four games in all competitions.
Since beating Arsenal last month, Liverpool have been thrashed by Manchester City, held to draws at home by Sevilla and Burnley and knocked out the League Cup so Klopp will be desperate to come away with a positive result tomorrow.
Team News
Liverpool are expected to be without Dejan Lovren for the third game in succession as the centre-back is still recovering from a back injury so Ragnar Klavan is set to continue in defence.
Joel Matip is also a doubt due to a minor knock that he picked up against Burnley and while Klopp will no doubt give the Cameroonian international every chance to prove his fintess, Joe Gomez is on stand-by to fill in.
Emre Can is back in training after recovering from a knock but Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne remain out with long-term injuries.
Simon Mignolet, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alberto Moreno, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are all set for recalls.
Leicester welcome Jamie Vardy back in to the squad after he missed the cup win with a groin injury while Christian Fuchs should also return from an eye problem.
However, midfielder Matty James is out after picking up an Achilles injury that could rule him out for up to six weeks.
Likely Line-ups
Predicted Score
Leicester 1-2 Liverpool: The Reds will be much stronger tomorrow once their key men return to the side so I’m expecting this to be a different game to Tuesday night. Liverpool were unlucky in the cup game as they had the chances in the first half to take the lead so Klopp will hope they are less wasteful this time around. I’m going for a 2-1 away win.

- Firmino to score first in a 2-1 Liverpool win: 25/1 – a £10 bet would return £260
