[Video Goals] Liverpool 3-0 Maribor: Salah On Target As Reds Go Clear In Group E

Liverpool cemented their position at the top of Champions League Group E after easing to a 3-0 victory over Maribor at Anfield this evening.

The Reds thrashed the Slovenian champions 7-0 in the reverse fixture two weeks ago but they struggled to recreate that attacking display during the first half as the two sides went in all-square at the break.

However, Liverpool finally broke the deadlock just minutes after the restart as Mohamed Salah flicked home from a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross in the 49th minute.

It was 2-0 midway through the second half as Emre Can finished off a lovely move involving James Milner before Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to make it 3-0 with a close range effort in the 90th minute.

The victory sees Liverpool move one point clear at the top of group E with Sevilla up to second and Spartak Moscow dropping to third – three points behind the Reds.
