Want-Away La Liga Attacker In Talks With Arsenal & Liverpool Over January Move
Dani Ceballos has told Real Madrid he wants to leave in January and has held talks with Arsenal and Liverpool over a potential switch to England
The January transfer window is just around the corner meaning clubs are working hard on potential deals so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Dani Ceballos is linked with a move to England…
Dani Ceballos has told Real Madrid he wants to leave in January and has held talks with Arsenal and Liverpool over a potential switch to England, according to a report in the Express.
Ceballos made his name at Real Betis after progressing through their youth ranks and snubbed interest from a number of top European clubs to join Madrid in a £16m move last summer.
However, the 21-year-old’s time at the Bernabeu hasn’t gone according to plan during his first six months as Ceballos has struggled to establish himself in Zinedine Zidane’s starting eleven.
The youngster has made just two starts in La Liga and only appeared from the bench in the Champions League, and it seems he’s already frustrated with his lack of regular first team football.
The Express are citing a report from Diario Gol that claims Ceballos is keen to leave Madrid after learning that is was president Florentino Perez, not boss Zidane, that pushed for his signature in the summer.
And it’s suggested in the Spanish publication that the attacking midfielders representatives have already asked Madrid chiefs for him to be allowed to leave this winter.
Ceballos has attracted interest from a number of clubs but Diario Gol claim he’s eyeing a move to the Premier League as his agents have already held talks with Arsenal and Liverpool over a switch to England.
Arsene Wenger is on the look-out for an attacking midfielder as Mesut Ozil is yet to sign a new contract so Ceballos could be viewed as a potential replacement for the German international.
Jurgen Klopp is also being linked with a number of attackers as Philippe Coutinho continues to be chased by Barcelona and it seems Ceballos is also on the Liverpool manager’s radar.
However, Arsenal and Liverpool may have their work cut out persuading Madrid to cash-in as the report claims Perez is reluctant to sell Ceballos and will only consider sanctioning a loan move at the end of the season.

We’ll have to wait and see if Ceballos is able to force a move but it’s understood Perez sees the Spanish under-21 international as a future star so is keen to keep hold of him, which could spell bad news for the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
