The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, the latest on Dani Ceballos…
Dani Ceballos has reiterated his desire to join Liverpool this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to secure a £30.5m deal with Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain via TeamTalk.
Ceballos has struggled to force his way in to Zinedine Zidane’s starting eleven since joining Madrid from Real Betis last summer as the young midfielder has started just two La Liga games so far.
The 21-year-old has grown frustrated with his lack of action and TeamTalk claims he’s held regular talks with Madrid president Florentino Perez about a move away from the club.
Ceballos was strongly linked a move to Liverpool during the January transfer window and Klopp has maintained his interest in signing the Spanish U21 international ahead of the summer.
TeamTalk are now citing a report from Diario Gol that claims Ceballos has told close friends he’s desperate to join Liverpool after reaffirming his desire to Madrid that he wants to leave at the end of the season.
The Spanish publication says Liverpool have registered their interest in signing the attacking midfielder and hope to agree a deal worth in the region of £30.5m [€35m] for his signature.
Klopp is in the market for another attacking midfielder after failing to sign a replacement for Philippe Coutinho following his move to Barcelona in January and Ceballos has emerged as a prime target.
The youngster is capable of playing in central midfield or further forward in the attacking positions so he’d provide Klopp with plenty of options if he does end up making a move to Anfield this summer.

However, further reports today in the Express suggest that Liverpool will face competition from Juventus and AC Milan for Ceballos’s signature so it looks like the Merseysiders are still some way off getting a deal over the line.
