Thomas Lemar has issued a come-and-get-me plea after revealing his disappointment that proposed moves to Arsenal and Liverpool fell through, according to the Independent.
Lemar became one of the most sought after young talents in Europe after scoring 14 goals as well as providing 17 assists to help Monaco land the Ligue 1 title last season.
The 22-year-old was strongly linked with Arsenal and Liverpool during the closing stages of the summer window with both clubs reportedly failing with deadline day bids for the attacker.
The Gunners came closest to securing a his signature as the Independent claim that Arsenal were close to signing Lemar in a £92m deal before the proposed switch fell through hours before the window closed.
Both clubs were linked again in the winter window and Lemar has now revealed his disappointment that a big-money move didn’t come through but he’s hoping his form this season will see the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool renew their interest this summer.
When quizzed about whether he regretted not joining Arsenal or Liverpool, Lemar is quoted by the Independent as saying:
“Regrets? Maybe. I was a little disappointed,” he told Telefoot. “Once it’s over, it’s over, so do not think about it.
“I will keep working hard so these clubs will eventually come back in the next transfer window. I am open to all offers. I am a football player, I like football. I do not close any door.”
Arsene Wenger is expected to revamp his squad this summer following a disappointing campaign and Lemar would provide the Gunners with some much needed width if he ended up moving to the Emirates.
However, Jurgen Klopp is also in the market for attacking reinforcement as he needs to sign a replacement for Philippe Coutinho following his move to Barcelona and Lemar is firmly on his radar.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming months but I think Lemar would be a hugely exciting signing for Arsenal or Liverpool if either club was able to get a deal agreed.
