Norwich City are ready to cash-in on Liverpool and Tottenham target James Maddison if a club meets their £30m asking price this summer, according to the Mirror.

Maddison has developed in to one of the hottest properties outside of the Premier League since joining Norwich in 2016 having come through the youth ranks at Coventry City.

The 21-year-old is now an established member of the first team at Carrow Road and has provided 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions despite Norwich enduring a difficult season.

His impressive form has caught the attention of clubs in the top flight with the Mirror reporting recently that Liverpool and Tottenham have expressed their interest in signing the talented midfielder.

Mauricio Pochettino is expected to further strengthen his squad this summer after all-but securing Champions League football for another season and Maddison could be viewed as the next ‘Dele Alli’.

Jurgen Klopp is also in the market for a new midfielder as Emre Can is being tipped to leave after failing to agree terms over a new contract while a replacement for Philippe Coutinho hasn’t been signed and it seems Maddision is also on Liverpool’s radar.

It looks like the duo have now been told what it will take to sign Maddison as the Mirror claim that Norwich have decided to cash-in on their key asset if the likes of Liverpool or Spurs meet their £30m asking price.

It remains to be seen whether either club will be prepared to pay that kind of money for a player who has no experience of Premier League football but Maddison looks to have a huge future ahead of him so I think the England U21 international is worth the gamble.
