Fulham vs Man Utd preview | Utd duo ruled out | Expected line-up’s | Prediction

Here is our match preview ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Fulham including team news, line-ups and prediction

Craven Cottage Fulham

Manchester United can climb in to the top four with a win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday lunchtime.

The Red Devils continued their impressive recent form with a hard fought 1-0 win at Leicester City last weekend with Marcus Rashford’s goal the difference between the two sides at the King Power Stadium.

That win has put United up to fifth in the table and just two points off fourth-place so the Manchester giants can climb in to the top four with a win ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Man City on Sunday.

United will take on a Fulham side sitting second bottom in the table and seven points from safety so Claudio Ranieri will be desperate for a positive result tomorrow to aid their hopes of surviving the drop.

Team news

United will be without Matteo Darmian as the full-back has been ruled out with a muscle injury while Antonio Valencia has suffered a set-back in his recovery from injury so he’ll also miss the trip to the capital.

Marcos Rojo is back in full training after recovering from a leg problem that’s hampered him in recent weeks while Chris Smalling is pushing for a recall after overcoming a foot injury.

Fulham are missing Alfie Mawson and Marcus Bettinelli due to knee injuries while on-loan Timothy Fosu-Mensah is ineligible against his parent club but Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa should return to the squad.

New signings Lazar Markovic and Havard Nordtveit are also pushing to be included in Ranieri’s squad this weekend.

Prediction

Fulham 0-2 Man Utd: The Cottagers have lost four of their last five league games so they desperately need to get back to winning ways if they’re to avoid heading straight back down to the Championship. However, I don’t see past anything other than a routine away win tomorrow. United are on a great run of form and they’ve lost just three of their last 27 league games against Fulham, so I’m backing Solskjaer’s men to go home with a 2-0 win.
