Duo return as Manchester United squad to face Barcelona is revealed

Nemanja Matic and Alexis Sanchez were included in the 22-man squad that flew out to Spain today ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Barcelona at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night.

Underdogs at online gambling sites, the Red Devils face a daunting task if they’re to turn around in their Champions League quarter-final tie having lost 1-0 at Old Trafford last week but they’ll be looking to repeat the kind of performance that saw them turn things around against PSG in the previous round.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been boosted by the return of Matic as the Serbian international has travelled to Spain after recovering from an illness that’s kept him out of Man Utd’s last three matches.

Sanchez is also back in contention for a place in the squad after recovering from a serious knee injury that’s kept the Chilean superstar on the sidelines since the win over Southampton at the start of March.

United will be able to call upon Ashley Young again after he missed the win over West Ham at the weekend due to suspension and Luke Shaw has also made the trip to Catalonia despite the fact he’s banned for the game tomorrow.

Marcus Rashford is in the squad and will be pushing for a recall after being rested against the Hammers on Saturday while Scott McTominay and Victor Lindelof are also in-line for recalls after being given breathers at the weekend.

However, Man Utd will continue to be without the services of Ander Herrera as the Spaniard remains on the sidelines with a muscle issue while Eric Bailly and Antonio Valencia also haven’t made the trip to Spain today.
