The Premier League fixtures for the 2019/20 season were released this morning and the opening weekend live TV games have also been confirmed.

European Champions Liverpool will kick-off the new campaign when they welcome newly-promoted Norwich City to Anfield with that game scheduled to be shown live on Sky Sports on Friday August 9 at 8pm.

The first BT Sport game of the new season will feature reigning champions Manchester City as they’ll travel to London to take on West Ham at the Olympic Stadium at 12.30 on Saturday August 10.

Later that day, Tottenham will be in front of the Sky Sports TV camera’s when they welcome Aston Villa to the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the Villains back in the top flight following their promotion via the play-offs last campaign.

On Sunday August 11, Arsenal will begin their Premier League season with a tough trip to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United with that game set to be broadcast live on Sky Sports at 2pm.

The 4.30pm Sunday kick-off will see Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford for the stand-out fixture of the opening weekend of new season and that match will be shown live on Sky Sports.

It’s sure to be an exciting start to the 2019/20 season with Liverpool and Tottenham no doubt confident of getting off to winning starts. City should also have too much for the Hammers while Arsenal will be hoping for a repeat of the 2-1 win they secured at Newcastle last season, but it will be fascinating to see who comes out on top of the heavy-weight clash between United and Chelsea.
