Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with Manchester City over the possible transfer of Brazilian international winger Savinho to North London this summer, as per Football Insider.
Savinho was a target for the North London club last summer, although their pursuit ultimately came to nothing after City reportedly knocked back multiple offers. The Brazilian instead chose to extend his stay at the Etihad last October until 2031.
That setback saw Spurs explore other attacking options, eventually securing Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain on loan before Xavi Simons joined from RB Leipzig on deadline day.
Savinho, meanwhile, endured a frustrating campaign for regular football, starting only 14 times across all competitions in the recently concluded 2025-26 season. Just seven of those appearances came in the Premier League, further raising questions over whether the Brazilian could now consider leaving City.
Tottenham have remained interested in the winger, with reports in July via Football Talk reporting that Spurs are keen on signing Savinho.
It appears the club are stepping up efforts to sign him, as Football Insider reports that Tottenham are in advanced talks with City over Savinho’s transfer to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before this summer’s transfer deadline.

The report adds that Spurs have agreed to personal terms with the Brazilian, who is pushing to join them, and there’s optimism the deal will be completed at a total package worth £60m.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, Transfer Correspondent Pete O’Rourke reveals that Tottenham’s deal for Savinho has been in the works, and it’s close to being finalised.
He said, ‘I think it’s getting there. It’s been ongoing for a number of weeks and months now.
‘We know Tottenham’s interest is there; they’re long-term admirers of Savinho, and Roberto De Zerbi has admitted they are looking to make further attacking signings in this window, if possible.
‘Savinho is a top target for them. Talks have been ongoing with Manchester City. The expectation is that this deal probably will get done before the close of the window, with Savinho making the move to North London.’
Should a move for the Brazilian be completed, he would hand De Zerbi a potent attacking outlet that is direct, can take on opponents, create, and consistently offer attacking threats whenever he’s with the ball.
