REPORTS: Chelsea Set To Snap Up £9m Starlet
The Blues have stepped up their efforts to sign promising youngster Kevin De Bruyne. The London Evening Standard reports that Chelsea have lodged an improved offer for the Racing Genk winger, believed to be in the region of £9m.
A deal for the youngster looks almost certain with Chelsea just deciding whether or not to loan the midfielder back to Genk or rivals Anderlecht.
Anderlecht are currently negotiating a deal for Romelu Lukaku and part of the arrangement could see De Bruyne move to Anderlecht on loan, but Genk are unlikely to allow this, as it will see their bitter rivals land one of their rising stars.
Lukaku who have been dubbed “the new Drogba” and is expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer in a fee around £20million.
