As expected. Utd seem to be struggling on and off the pitch to match up to Barca. Utd are not resolute enough and I suspect the scouting/recruitment team is just not good enough. Of course our glaring and IMO criminal failure to retain the likes of Pique,Rossi and to some extent Forlan is really unforgivable.

Your point is complete nonsense. How are United struggling either on or off the pitch? They have won 4 titles in 5 years and been in 3 champions league finals, winning one of them. We are buying some great young players, our youth team has just won their cup and we are being linked with players that Barcelona want. Barcelona cannot afford the 30 million for Sanchez, whereas United can. That is why Barcelona are offering a player in exchange, instead of pure cash. They are nearly in as much debt as Manchester United, so please do not think for one moment that United are ‘struggling’ against Barcelona. Barcelona only have 40 million to spend and United have already spent 55 million and are looking for more players. The only thing Barcelona have outdone United with is the Champions League. That is hardly struggling. Rossi and Pique had to go because they wished to leave. We had better players. Forlan had to go because he wasn’t good enough for us at the time. He had two seasons and failed to show the necessary skill for United. I highly doubt that United would be any better off if they have kept those players, considering they didn’t do too much whilst playing for them the first time round. They all achieved success in lesser leagues. If United want Sanchez, they have mor of a chance than Barcelona because they have the cash (which Barca don’t), they also have the wages, with certain players retiring, it’s cleared up alot of wage money and he has more of a chance of getting in the United team. Look at Barcelona’s midfield. Where does he fit in, exactly? United want to give Nani to Inter, so he can replace Nani at United and play more games. Barcelona may win more cups but he will earn more at United because he will be playing week in, week out.

Piqué would have never made it at OT nor Rossi. Forlan couldn’t cope with the pressure. You talk sh#t, u w#nker.

Shut it! We just won our 19th League title….we have been in three CL finals in four years winning 1…we eliminated Barca in 2008…Yes Barca are ahead of us NOW…but these things are cyclical and we will be back..Get a F’in grip and chill out!

John you clearly are not easily satisfied…I don’t believe you are a United fan.. I have supported this club for 41 years now and son, this has been a great, great period for United…Real United fans are enjoying their summer and if they have any concerns it’s with those yank owners…Be a real fan John and shut up unless you are providing support..Lord knows Fergie and co deserve it!!

Don’t believe everything the biased media said. If Man Utd wants a player, they will will get the player

If that’s true, how come they failed to land Ronaldinho, Essien, Robben, Mikel and others but secured legends like Obertan, Bebe, Djembas, Kleberson, Bellion, Miller…
Utd have a very chequered past when it comes to marquee signings.

I’m honestly hoping you are a Chelsea fan jimjiber so I can have a laugh at your ignorance. Do you have any idea about the Mikel saga ? We actually signed him (you can even see images of him in a United shirt), then his immaturity kicked in and he claimed he was pressured by us and wanted to play with Chelsea. In the end, Chelsea paid us 12 mil to not pursue him. Sooo, we got 12 mil profit out of nowhere and got rid of a joke Mikel. Yea, who’s laughing now !?

And just to clarify…after Mikel’s request, FIFA decided Mikel should return to Lyn Oslo and that’s where Chelsea signed him and gave us the 12 mil. I think you also need to distinguish between failing to get a marquee signing and actually signing a flop. Completely two diferent things.

I think this guy will be a better plus to united in achieving with greater pace come next season. City are obsessed with their money. While barca want to snatch play with less money. Go united and have ya man
