Jack Wilshere Suffers Injury Set Back – Time To Buy Arsene

The Daily Mail are reporting that star midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered another injury set back in training and could be set for a spell on the sidelines.

This is getting ridiculous now. Just as we started to see light at the end of the injury tunnel with the news that Bacary Sagna was back in full training, today sees the Daily Mail reporting that star midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered an injury set back.

The rumours were flying about Twitter last night but the Mail seem to have confirmed the news that Wilshere suffered a set back in training on Wednesday and Arsenal are now awaiting scan results to see what the damage is. We will of course bring you the news as we get it.

Wilshere was on course for a return to action at the start of February with Wenger hoping he would take part in the Champions League first leg against AC Milan on the 15th, and certainly be back to face Tottenham on the 26th.  However, if these reports are accurate its now unlikely Wilshere will take part in either game.

Arsene Wenger will be doing his weekly press conference shortly so will no doubt shed more light on the situation but i will be devastated if Jack is now going to be ruled out for an extended period. He’s been sorely missed and without him we’ve had to rely too much on Ramsey and Arteta, who’ve both played far too much football already this season.

It was no surprise Arteta picked up an injury and surely it’s only a matter of time before Ramsey also picks up a knock. He’s not had a rest for five months.

But should Wilshere be ruled out for anything beyond 2-3 weeks, there is no doubt Arsene Wenger needs to add before the window closes. I thought we needed to add a creative central midfielder BEFORE the news about Wilshere, so we certainly need to buy one now. I wont hold my breath though!

Dream on. Wenger would carry on as normal even if Wilshire is out for the whole season.Let’s hope he goes to RM and adopt the scrooge style. If it doesn’t work over there,he will be axed.

i know you cant always believe some the rubbish that occurs on twitter but this was present this morning. The scary thing is some saying 3 weeks longer others stating their is potentially a fracture somewher in his foot which would leave him out for the rest of the season. take with a pinch of salt but knowing our luck that will be the true rumour while the signings of hazard will be the lie. My other worry is today all that will be said is there is a setback and no dates as too how long until after the window closes and then the whole oh! we thought they would return. TV5 last jan anyone? or an even scarier solution that the Diaby returning card will be played as a reason not too sign. I completely agree signings are needed top quality if available, i personally think it is needed before this happend, will it? i doubt very much board wont wana spend. and your right about ramsey hes gained a lot of criticism recently when hes obviously so fatigued hes never played full prem season let alone comming back from a leg break. We know the squads not good enough, signings are needed as well as the clearout. could do with Frimpong back for for numbers too

Which good creative midfielder is the market now? Leave the man to do his job. That’s how we pushed for Arshavin. Now, just 2 years after, and we are asking for his head!

dont waste your time writing for transfers…there will be no new players bought this window. Wenger only buys if he really is forced into it or there is some long-term profit involved.
He will never buy a quality internationally renowned player for 30 million, it isnt his style. The focus could shift to whether the player was worth it and the criticism reflected on wenger. Wenger buys cheap and as he has no bottle for what he perceives as too much of a risk.

According to Wenger it is simply a ‘little setback’. Based on previous squad injury reports I take this to mean he’s lost his leg from the ankle down.

You have to ask the question of what the goons are doing in training. Must be a bit too brutal (or the players are too delicate?) considering the amount of injuries and breakdowns…
