[Video Highlights] Man City 3-2 Sporting Lisbon (3-3 Agg) Heroic Comeback Not Enough

Despite coming from 2-0 down to beat Sporting Lisbon 3-2 tonight, Man City crashed out of the Europa League on the away goals rule as the tie ended 3-3 on agg.

Manchester City crashed out of the Europa League in spectacular fashion after coming from 2-0 down to beat Sporting Lisbon 3-2 tonight (3-3 on aggregate), as Lisbon progressed on the away goals rule.

First half goals from Fernandez and Van Wolfswinkel looked to have put Sporting in the quarter finals as they held a 3-0 aggregate lead at the break. But City came storming back and Aguero and Balotelli (pen) levelled the score at 2-2. City still needed two goals to avoid going out and Aguero gave them hope making it 3-2 with little over 5 minutes remaining.

Joe Hart almost made himself the hero in the 95th minute, but sent his header inches wide of the post and Sporting held on to progress to the quarters. Watch all the goals here:
