Arsenal Starlet Chuks Aneke Agrees Move To Preston North End

By on March 22, 2012

Arsenal have confirmed on their official website that starlet Chuks Aneke has agreed to join League One side Preston North End on loan until the end of the season.

Aneke is one of Arsenal’s brightest youngsters and committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term contract at the Emirates last summer.

The 18-year-old midfielder broke into the first team earlier this season making his first appearance for the club during a 3-1 win over Shrewsbury in the Carling Cup in September.

Aneke has impressed for the reserves this season having scored 6 goals in 10 games but will now join Preston to gain valuable first team experience. Hopefully he can come back in the summer and make a real push to be part of Arsene Wenger’s plan’s next term.

He joins Benik Afobe in leaving the club on loan today, after it was confirmed earlier that Benik would join Reading until the end of the season.
