Arsenal Transfer News: M’Vila In, Song Out?
The Daily Mail are reporting that Arsenal are winning the race to sign French midfield enforcer Yann M’Vila, and a £20m summer move to the Emirates is the cards.
As we approach the end of the season our attention will soon turn to strengthening the squad this summer and we will keep you up-to-date on the latest transfer news surrounding the Emirates. Today we see Arsenal linked with Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila while Alex Song could be on his way out of the club.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Arsenal are winning the race to sign French midfield enforcer Yann M’Vila, and a £20m summer move to the Emirates is the cards.
However, in a strange twist, fellow admirers Inter Milan will turn their attention to our very own Alex Song should the Gunners complete a deal for M’Vila, after the Serie A giants drew up a short list of targets to fill their troublesome defensive midfield position ahead of next season.
Arsenal are believed to be keen on keeping Song to play alongside M’Vila at the heart of their midfield, and will offer the Cameroon international a large pay rise in a bid to secure his long-term future.
So, it looks like we could be adding M’Vila to our midfield ranks this summer and personally i’d love to see the Frenchman arrive. He’d add some much-needed ‘bite’ to our midfield options and at 21, he’s still got plenty of time to improve as a player. But i wouldn’t want his arrival to mean the departure of Song. Alex has been outstanding this season and keeping his at the club is vital.
