Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims that the Premier League giants sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old during Celtic’s 1-0 defeat to Norwich in Tuesday nights pre-season friendly.
Wanyama only moved to Celtic 12 months ago from Belgian side Beerschot AC but enjoyed a superb debut season in Scotland, becoming an important member of Neil Lennon’s first team.
However, the versatile Kenyan has become frustrated at the SPL champions after being played in defence rather than his preferred position of defensive midfield, and has made it clear he would jump at the chance of a move to England.
Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson are now weighing up their next moves but may face competition from Queens Park Rangers and Stoke if they decide to make their interest official with a firm offer, and the Mail claim it would take a bid of around £7m to persuade Celtic into a sale.
