Chelsea Target Admits Switch To England Would Be ‘Perfect’
Chelsea have been boosted in their pursuit of Wilfried Bony after the Vitesse Arnhem striker admitted a move to the Premier League this summer would be ‘perfect’
Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Wilfried Bony eyes a move to England.
Chelsea have been boosted in their pursuit of target Wilfried Bony after the striker admitted a move to the Premier League this summer would be ‘perfect’, according to the Metro.
The Ivory Coast international has been in sensational form this season scoring 27 goals in just 25 appearances to help turn Vitesse Arnhem into unlikely title challengers this campaign, with the club currently sitting joint second in the table and just three points adrift of league leaders Ajax.
It seems his impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed in England with the Metro claiming Chelsea and West Ham are among the clubs showing an interest in signing him this summer.
Bony has now given the duo a boost after revealing that while a move to Germany or France is appealing, a switch to the Premier League would be ‘perfect’ for the 24-year-old:
‘If I go to England, that would be perfect because of the competition, atmosphere, though Germany and France also appeal,’ Bony is quoted as saying in the Metro
The striker was then quizzed about a potential move to West Ham this summer and he claims there is nothing concrete at present but admitted a switch to Upton Park is certainly a possibility. He continued:
‘I know only by hearsay, nothing is concrete, but a move there [West Ham] is certainly a possibility.’

Chelsea are yet to reveal who their new manager will be for next season so any potential move for Bony may be delayed until Roman Abramovich announces Rafa Benitez’s successor, but it appears the player would be keen on a move should the Blues make their reported interest official at the end of the season.
