Arsenal beat Wigan Athletic 4-1 at the Emirates on Tuesday night with a Lukas Podolski double helping to send the Gunners back above Spurs into fourth, but the result sees Roberto Martinez men relegated to the Championship.
Podolski opened the scoring early on with a close range header before Shaun Maloney equalised with a stunning free-kick just before the break. Arsenal re-took the lead when Walcott poked home before Podolski made it 3-1 after being sent clear by Santi Cazorla. Aaron Ramsey then sealed the win with a fourth to send Arsenal into pole position heading into the final weekend.
