Tottenham Hotspur eased to a comfortable 2-0 win over Anzhi Makachkala on Thursday night to take a huge step towards qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Goals from Jermain Defoe and Nacer Chadli secured the victory to move Spurs four points clear of second placed Sherrif Tiraspol.
