Liverpool Offer Striker 4-Year Deal Worth £90k-A-Week Ahead Of Proposed €22m Move
Liverpool have offered AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli a four year contract worth £90,000-a-week ahead of a proposed €22m move to Anfield, according to reports
The summer transfer window is now reaching its climax and managers are working hard to make some last minute additions to their squad, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Liverpool have made an offer to AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli.
Liverpool have offered AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli a four year contract worth £90,000-a-week ahead of a proposed €22m move to Anfield, according to reports.
Brendan Rodgers has already admitted he’s in the market for another top striker following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona and Balotelli has emerged as a potential target for the Northern Irishman.
The 24-year-old’s future has been speculated about all summer and it seems Liverpool have made their move to try and lure him back to the Premier League with the Metro citing reports coming out of Italy that claim the Merseysiders have offered the striker a four-year contract worth £90,000-a-week.
The news comes shortly after widespread reports suggested that the Reds had even tabled a formal €22m (£17.6m) bid for the player, but this is something that has been denied by AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, who is quoted in the Guardian as saying that no offer has come in for Balotelli as yet.
“At this time we have not received any offer from Liverpool for Balotelli. Therefore, there is no negotiation. We will see as the transfer market ends on 1 September.”
So it appears Milan are adamant that no bid has been tabled by Liverpool, but the press seem to think otherwise and suggest the Merseysiders have not only put forward a contract offer to the player, but have made an official €22m offer.
Italian media outlet Sports Mediaset state that Milan’s asking price for Balotelli is €25m, so Liverpool’s supposed bid falls just short of that valuation, but it’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out over the coming days.

No doubt Blaotelli is a huge talent and he’d be an excellent signing if Rodgers could tame his wild side, but trouble seems to follow him wherever he goes and the last thing Liverpool will want is a disruptive influence in the dressing room.
