Premier League action returns this weekend after the international break as Tottenham take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon. Here is our predicted line-up.
Goalkeeper: No doubt Hugo Lloris will start in goal for Spurs.
Defence: Eric Dier is expected to shake off a knock to start at right back with Kyle Walkers continued absence due to an ongoing pelvic injury. Danny Rose could miss out though which would see Ben Davies come in at left-back. Fazio is pushing to make his first start since joining the club but Mauricio Pochettino is likely to stick with Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul.
Midfield: New signing Benjamin Stambouli is in-line to make his debut having completed a move from Montpellier on deadline day. The French international is expected to start alongside Etienne Capoue in midfield with Nabil Bentaleb dropping out.
Attack: Pochettino has gone for a settled attacking three of Nacer Chadli, Eric Lamela and Christian Eriksen for much of the season and I don’t see any reason for that to change. Andros Townsend and Mousa Dembele are pushing for recalls but I think we’ll see the see the same front three that started against Liverpool play behind Emmanuel Adebayor once again.
Here’s how Spurs could line-up this weekend:
