[Photos] Gerrard, Balotelli + Moreno Among Players To Pose For Airplane Selfies
Steven Gerrard, Lazar Markovic and Mario Balotelli feature as Liverpool players pose for selfies on the airplane en route to Switzerland for the Basel game.
Liverpool have just flown out to Switzerland ahead of their Champions League group stage clash with Basel tomorrow night.
Daniel Sturridge wasn’t on the plane after failing to recover from his thigh injury in time while there wasn’t any sign of Mamadou Sakho either. Brendan Rodgers has dropped him from the squad for disciplinary reasons after the defender stormed out of Anfield after learning he wasn’t in the team to face Everton on Saturday.
However, the rest of the squad seem to be in good spirits as captain Steven Gerrard shared a ‘selfie’ on his Instagram account of him along with the rest of the Liverpool players just before take-off this afternoon.
Lazar Markovic also posted a snap on his Twitter account of him along with fellow summer signings Mario Balotelli and Dejan Lovren, while Alberto Moreno shared his pic with Javier Manquillo.
Liverpool head to Switzerland hoping to secure back-to-back victories in the Champions League having narrowly beaten Ludogorets 2-1 at Anfield two weeks ago.
