There is no facts or evidence behind this team selection.
You can only assume that with the form, bad press and being lazy, Adebayor will not get in the starting line up.
Why would he risk Rose when he has a capable left back to mitigate the risk, Davies.
I don’t think we need Capoue in this game. He has been solid all season (nothign special though) but against Hull we’d be better off have 2 technical players, I don’t like Dembele but him and Mason would be better pairing.
I can not imagine for one minute why Lamela would start. He has one good thing all season, THAT goal in the europa league. We have better options for his position.
If we were sensible, we’d swap Dier and Kaboul around.
Dier is naturally a centre back, not a right back. Although Kaboul is the same, he has previously played for us on the right back during his first spell at WHL and did really well there as he loves to run forward. He is fairly quick and actually has a good cross on him. He is too easily bullied at centre back, he is like a giant glass canon, so pushing out wide would allow a more solid Dier to take his role.

Gee , I just don’t get it…..we keep leaving Verts out , no wonder he will want to leave…he must look at Kaboul and think ” if the manager thinks he is a better player than me I might as well go ”
Christ , Rose is the worst left back in the league….in fact when I was his age I was better than him !!!

The issue isn’t so much as the selection by the execution. One paper Spurs have great talent, expensive talent. What I’m mainly concern with is how these players perform collectively.
Pochettino sets the team up somewhat correctly, with the available talent. However those who he has shown faith in, the ones that many expect to be the catalyst for the club have given below par performances. In my opinion he needs to choose either Eriksen or Lamela as his No. 10. Trying to incorporate both right now is not working and has been detrimental to the team.
The players that Pochettino has selected as Captain and Vice-Captain, Kaboul and Adebayor have let the club down immensely. Given the choices, Lloris or Vertonghen, Kaboul hasn’t shown leadership material. Adebayor as a Vice-Captain had everyone scratching their heads. For me it was Lloris all the way as club Captain.
Another problem I have seen thus far this season is that those playing in front of the fullbacks have offered zero support, defensively. For Spurs to have any chance, against any team, the defence is what Pochettino has to sort first and foremost.
My choice for the Hull match:
Lloris
Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies
Capoue, Stambouli
Lennon, Eriksen, Chadli
Kane
