Jose Mourinho has made several changes from the side that lost at Tottenham on Thursday with a number of key players given a breather.
Petr Cech comes in between the sticks with Thibaut Courtois among the subs while Kurt Zouma and Filipe Luis come in for John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic at the back.
Ramires and John Obi Mikel replace Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic in midfield while Loic Remy gets a rare start in attack with Eden Hazard rested.
Andre Schurrle also starts in attack as Willian drops out while Didier Drogba leads the line with Diego Costa given a well-earned rest.
