Man City entertain Man Utd at the Etihad on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, betting tips and predicted score for the game
Manchester City entertain Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon with both sides looking to give their top four hopes a major boost.
City currently sit fourth in the Premier League table but with West Ham now just one point adrift in fifth, they need a win to cement their position in the top four.
United on the other hand are down in sixth place but can climb up to fifth and to within a point of City if they can leave the Etihad with all three points tomorrow afternoon.
The Citizens warmed up for the game with a drab 0-0 draw with Dynamo Kiev in midweek but the result saw Manuel Pellegrini’s men book their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League.
United crashed out of the Europa League at the hands of Liverpool on Thursday night so Louis van Gaal will be desperate to get a positive result tomorrow in order to prevent their season from petering out.

Team news
City will be without Vincent Kompany after the skipper was ruled out for a month with a calf injury that he suffered against Kiev in midweek.
Nicolas Otamendi was also forced off in that game with a dead leg but should be passed fit to start against United tomorrow.
However, Pellegrini will continue to be without Kevin De Bruyne, Fabian Delph and Samir Nasri through injury.
As for United, they will hand a late fitness test to Ander Herrera after he picked up a groin injury which saw him miss the Liverpool game on Thursday night.
Ashley Young and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson have returned to training but this game might be too soon as they are lacking match fitness so they could miss out along with Wayne Rooney, Luke Shaw, Phil Jones and Will Keane.
Predicted Line-ups
Predicted Score
Man City 2-1 Man Utd: City barely got out of first gear against Kiev on Tuesday night while United had to dig deep against Liverpool on Thursday, so I think the visitors will be the more fatigued of the two squads and that could prove to be crucial in the end. I’m going for a narrow home win.
Betting Tips
Man City are the 17/20 favourites but Football-Talk can get you enhanced odds of 5/1 on a home win or 12/1 on an away win – just click here to take advantage of this limited time offer. My prediction of 2-1 is available at odds of 15/2 while I also like the look of Aguero to open the scoring at 16/5. If you combined those two bets in a score-cast then we get very tempting odds of 16/1.
