Arsenal will sign Christopher Nkunku on loan once Paris Saint-Germain wrap-up a £7.5m deal to sign Luciano Acosta as a replacement, according to various reports.
We wrapped-up the signing of Denis Suarez on an initial loan deal from Barcelona earlier today but Unai Emery is still hoping to bring in another new addition before the window slams shut at 11pm.
Having seen proposed moves for Ivan Perisic and Yannick Carrasco hit a dead end, Arsenal have seemingly turned their attention to pulling off a late swoop for PSG’s versatile midfielder Nkunku.
The 21-year-old emerged as a target late last week when L’Equipe reported that Arsenal had opened talks about signing the French youngster on loan ahead of a potential permanent deal in the summer.
The Sun claims that the proposed move hinges on PSG being able to sign Luciano Acosta as a replacement with the 24-year-old expected to move to the Parc des Princes from D.C United in a £7.5m deal.
This is supported by Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, who claims Acosta joining PSG will pave the way for Nkunku to complete his loan switch to Arsenal.

Nkunku is a versatile midfielder who can play as a box-to-box central midfielder or on the wing so he’d be a very useful addition to the squad if we can get a deal finalised before 11pm.

We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the coming hours but it would have to be viewed as a successful transfer window if we could get Suarez and Nkunku on loan deals – although I do still worry that we should have strengthened our defensive options, too.
