Player demands move as Man Utd look to thrash out deal to sign £60m star
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has informed Crystal Palace he wants to join Manchester United as the Red Devils look to thrash out a deal for the £60m full-back
Managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads during the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Aaron Wan-Bissaka wants to join Man Utd….
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has informed Crystal Palace he wants to join Manchester United as the Red Devils look to thrash out a deal for the £60m-rated full-back, according to The Sun.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in the market for a new right-back this summer as Antonio Valencia has left the club, Ashley Young will turn 34 in July while Matteo Darmian is tipped for a move back to Italy after failing to establish himself at Old Trafford.
Therefore, Man Utd need a player to compete with Portuguese youngster Diogo Dalot for a starting spot over the coming years and Wan-Bissaka has reportedly emerged as Solskjaer’s primary transfer target.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last season that saw him establish himself as a key part of Roy Hodgsons starting eleven and the England Under-21 international is now regarded as one of the best young talents in British football.
United have already formalised their interest as the Mirror reported earlier this week that the Manchester giants are ready to submit an improved £50m bid for Wan-Bissaka after seeing their opening £40m offer knocked back by Crystal Palace.
The Eagles are desperate to keep hold of the full-back for at least another year and The Sun claims they will demand up to £60m for his signature but this stance hasn’t gone down well in the Wan-Bissaka camp.
According to the newspaper, the frustrated defender has now informed Palace that he wants to complete a ‘dream’ move to Man Utd this summer – although he’s stopped short of submitting a formal transfer request.
Palace are determined to play hardball but they know of Wan-Bissaka’s desire to move to Old Trafford and The Sun says Hodgson is now eyeing a move for Norwich City star Max Aarons as a potential replacement.

United have also been linked with the Norwich youngster as a back-up to Wan-Bissaka but it appears the Palace right-back is pushing to get a move to Old Trafford over the line and he’d be an excellent signing if the Reds could pull it off.
