Man Utd & Arsenal eye move to sign Bazoumana Touré

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United forward Bazoumana Touré, as per Caught Offside.
The Red Devils currently have Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo as wingers. Moreover, Michael Carrick has used Patrick Dorgu and Bruno Fernandes in this position.
However, Rashford has displayed below-average performances since returning from his loan spell with Barcelona. On the other hand, Amad has just returned to action after recovering from his injury problem.
So, it appears Man Utd are considering reinforcing the flanks next year. Caught Offside claim that the Red Devils are interested in Toure and have been monitoring his development closely before making a potential swoop.
United hold a long-standing interest in the 20-year-old as they initially expressed their interest before his move to Newcastle this summer.
Apart from the Old Trafford club, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have also been keeping a close eye on his development. Like United, Arsenal also initially registered their interest in him ahead of his move to St James’ Park.
However, the report state that the Magpies aren’t in any rush to sell him in January as he still has a contract until 2031.

The Tyneside club decided to splash around £42m to sign him and are likely to demand significantly more money to let him leave if they are forced to cash-in next year.
Toure is a left-footed, technically gifted winger and is comfortable on either flank. He is quick, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, is efficient in creating opportunities for fellow attackers, and works hard without possession.
Following Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s departure, Arsenal only signed Christos Tzolis this summer. So, Mikel Arteta is seemingly planning to add depth to this position.
Toure is a talented player and possesses high potential. Therefore, the Ivory Coast international might be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal or Man Utd should either club purchase him.
However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club or the 20-time English champions eventually make a concrete approach to secure his services in January or next summer.
