Man Utd vs Bolton: Team News, Likely Line-up & Predicted Score
Manchester Utd get back to Premier League action this weekend as Bolton visit Old Trafford. Here’s a preview with injury news, likely line-up and predicted score
Manchester Utd get back to Premier League action this weekend as struggling Bolton visit Old Trafford on Saturday. United will be boosted by the 3-2 defeat of rivals City in the FA Cup last weekend but are coming in to this game off the back of two successive League defeats prior to the game at the Etihad.
Most pundits are predicting a home win here as it’s almost unheard of for Sir Alex Ferguson to suffer three league defeats on the trot. However, it should be remembered that everybody expected Blackburn to get a hiding at Old Trafford, and look what happened there!
Man Utd Team News
The big news concerns the returning Paul Scholes and whether he get’s a start on Saturday, but it’s highly likely Fergie will choose to keep the ‘Ginger Prince’ on the bench for this one.
Rio Ferdinand is expected to take his place at the heart of defence after shacking off a troublesome stomach complaint. Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are also in-line to start after recovering from knocks.
The United injury list still contains the likes of Vidic, Owen, Young, Fletcher, Cleverly and Fabio, who all miss out. A key decision for Ferguson regards the goalkeeping situation, with Anders Lindegaard preferred to David de Gea in previous games de Gea could come back in tomorrow.
Valancia and Nani should continue on the wings, with Carrick and Giggs likely to start in the middle of midfield. Hernandez may start ahead of Welbeck alongside Rooney.
Likely Man Utd Line-up
Predicted Score
Three Premier League defeats in a row? Not a chance. Lowly Blackburn may have stolen all three points when they visited Old Trafford, but lightening won’t strike twice and I predict Man Utd will win this match and win it with relative ease. 3-0 to United.
