[Photo] Chelsea Star Offers Positive Injury Update With Instagram Picture

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has offered fans another injury update after posting a message and picture on his official Instagram account today.

Courtois was ruled out for at least three months after undergoing surgery on his knee to repair ligament damage earlier this month.

The Belgian international has been keeping his followers updated on his recovery with regular posts on social media sites and he gave fans the latest news this afternoon.

The 23-year-old posted a photo of him in a swimming pool with a message saying this is the next step in his rehabilitation and he hopes to soon be running again.

Asmir Begovic has been deputising in goal during Courtois absence but it’s coincided with a poor run of form that’s seen Chelsea drop eight points adrift of the league leaders in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho will therefore be praying his No.1 can get himself fit and back on the field as soon as possible, and while it’s obviously positive news to see him stepping up his recovery, Courtois still isn’t expected back until around Christmas time.
